Gambia: Real De Banjul Coach Upbeat Despite Samger Setback

The head coach of Real de Banjul FC, Alagie Sarr, was content with a point despite his side failing to win for the first time this season following a goalless stalemate with Samger at the Serekunda East Mini-Stadium.

Young Africans and Hawks complained that Real playing all three of their opening games of the season in Banjul is giving the defending champions an unfair advantage against their rivals and it was evident at the weekend when they failed to win in their first game away fom the KG5 Mini-Stadium in Banjul.

But despite the setback, Real is still on top with 10 points from four games.

For his part, Samger coach Jane Joof said the draw was a relief for him having come into the fixture at the back of a demoralishing 3-1 defeat to Steve Biko the other week.
