Angola: Minister Acknowledges Organisation of Carnival Groups

Luanda — Angolan Minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva, on Tuesday here stressed the increased greater organisation recorded in the carnival groups, despite much work still need to do, Angop has learnt.

The Minister said this to the press ahead of the central parade of Luanda carnival taking place on Tuesday.

She said hat the local administrations should work with the groups, so that they can have spaces and infrastructures for their headquarters.

According to the Minister, these spaces and infrastructures will not only serve to get incomes, but also for the training of the youngsters, judging by high number of people joining the popular feast.

She also said the groups have been appearing with many members, among them youth dancers, therefore it is important to train them in terms of dance, music and plastic arts.
