Nigeria: Moses, Mikel, Mba, Others Have Their Roots in Jos, Says Jang

Plateau State Governor, Jonah David Jang has said the victory of the Super Eagle in lifting the Orange African Cup of Nations highlights the irrepressible bonding of diversity in the nation for a collective purpose.

In a congratulatory message to Nigerians, signed by his Director of Press, Mr. James Mannok the Governor stressed that it is also a celebration particularly for state, seeing that "most of the players like Mikel Obi, Ahmed Musa, Ogonye Onazi and Sunday Mba (who scored the winning goal) have their football roots in Jos as well as Victor Moses amongst others."

Jang also applauded their fighting spirit and also urged Nigerians to sustain this unity of purpose and patriotism exhibited during the tournament "in our daily interaction with one another."

His words: "we are proud of the Super Eagles, the Nigerian led coach and the technical crew and indeed our Plateau products on the team. They have kept alive our dream for a truly united Nigeria".
