Gambia: Malick Jones Is New DPS Ministry of Information

Reports reaching The Point have it that Malick Jones, deputy Director General of the Gambia Radio and Television Services (GRTS), has been appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Information and Communication Infrastructure.

The appointment, according to sources, took effect Tuesday 12th February 2013.

However, it is not clear whether Jones, who has served in various positions at GRTS, rising through the ranks to become Deputy Director, still maintains his post as Deputy Director General at the state broadcaster.

Efforts to reach Jones proved futile up to the time of going to press.
