Benguela — The head coach of Petro de Luanda, Miller Gomes, stressed the importance of the positive results achieved by his football team that are participating in the four-team tournament in the central Benguela province, as part of their preparation for the national first division soccer championship (Girabola2013).
Speaking to Angop, Miller Gomes said that the 2-0 and 2-1 wins over Desportivo da Huíla and Atlético do Namibe, respectively, result from the good performance of his team in the competition that are trying to brush up technical and tactical aspects.
He said that the games are serving to give competitiveness rhythm to his players and thus take important conclusion to eye for their good participation in Girabola2013.
The four-team tournament is ending this Wednesday when Petro de Luanda face 1º de Maio de Benguela and Desportivo da Huíla play Atlético do Namibe.
Petro de Luanda lead the tournament with six points.
