Nigeria: Auto Crash Claims Four Lives in Enugu

No fewer than four persons have been confirmed dead, while 11 persons sustained various degrees of injuries in an auto crash that occurred on Monday night along Enugu-Onitsha expressway.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Enugu State, Ebere Amarizu, who confirmed the accident in a statement in Enugu on Tuesday, said the accident happened at Nkwo-Ezeagu in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Mr. Amarizu said it involved a DAF Truck with registration no XA805 FUN and a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number XZ 192 ENU, which allegedly collided with each other.

The statement said the dead bodies were deposited at Our Saviour Hospital Mortuary at 9th Mile Corner, Ngwo in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.

It added that the injured were rushed to Unity Hospital, Ngwo, for medical attention but added that the identities of the victims had yet to be established.
