Egypt: U.S. $ 24 Million for Torah Cement New Filters

Environment Minister Khaled Fahmy inaugurated on Tuesday 12/2/2013 environmental projects at Torah Cement plant at $24 million cost to replace the electrostatic filters with new fabric ones, which are more environment-friendly.

The project will greatly reduce emitted pollution in the factory in Helwan. Energy production is crucial to growth rate and development, that makes finding more efficient methods to convert garbage into energy a necessity, Fahmy said.
