Nigeria: Afcon - Jonathan Ginger Supporters Club With N5 Million

Barely a day after President Goodluck Jonathan doled out gifts and awards to the Super Eagles for the superlative performance that fetched the country the African Cup of Nations at the just concluded tournament in South Africa, the President Wenesday morning dispensed with another N5 million for the members of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club.

The cash reward was announced before the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) inside the Council Chambers of the presidential Villa.

The president also formally presented the trophy to the August body.

The camaraderie of Tuesday night's reception for the victorious Super Eagles was rekindled as the trophy passed from hand to hand inside the chamber, thereby availing many of the ministers the opportunity to physically touch the coveted trophy and even take pictures with it.
