The New Eden Church of Christ International recently donated food and non-food items to the SOS Children Village.
The donated items, which were handed over at a presentation ceremony at the Children's Village in Bakoteh, included rice, onions, sugar, tomato paste, potatoes, biscuits and soap among others.
Presenting the items on behalf of the Church, Pastor Deacon Emmanuel Omorodion said that this is the first time the church is giving out charity to SOS Children's Village. He stressed that vulnerable children should be supported, while assuring that his church will continue supporting them.
Receiving the items on behalf of the director of SOS, Cordelia Pratt thanked the church for the gesture, while urging other sectors to also support the orphanage.
Speaking on behalf of the mothers, Wunifred Macanley thanked the church for the gift and assured them that the donated items will be put into good use.
