Ethiopia: Jubaland Conference to Open Next Week

The technical committee tasked with the formation of a Jubaland administration has  said a Jubaland conference aimed at crafting a regional administration for the Lower  Juba, Middle Juba and Gedo regions will open on Saturday, February 23rd, in Kismayo.

The committee says it expects over 500 to attend including local elders from the three  regions as well as delegates from the Somali government and IGAD member countries.

At a press conference, the committee chairman, Moalim Ibrahim Mohamed, expressed  his confidence that the conference would lead to the successful formation of a regional  administration for a Jubaland state.
