Mighty Joe aka The Sunami will host what he describes as "Thank You" night to his fans who turn up in their large numbers when he release his double album both Cd and Dvd album last October at Alliance Franco. The young musician who is well loved by the Gambian populace said he felt overjoyed that night and felt he should organise something for his fans who showed him so much love when he was launching his album.
Mighty Joe said it is in this regard that he is calling on all his fans once again at Alliance Franco on the 8 March and Brikama on the 9th March. "I am known to deliver and I am known with surprises so this time again am calling on my fans to join me at Alliance Franco and Brikama respectively to attend a show that they will not attend for the rest of the year."
Mighty Joe in an exclusive interview was quick to say that he really wants to thank the head of state who is really supportive to his music and his entire cabinet. Mighty Joe said the album launching "Were did the music go?" was the greatest album launching in the Gambia and that he assured his fans that the "Thank you show" would be bigger. Mighty Joe used the opportunity to tell his fans to come early this time because at the launching many people were not able to make their way in because of over crowding. Mighty Joe said his album copies were given free at the gate and this time he got other surprises, which he would not like to reveal to his fans who would be coming to the thank you show. He said these fans have been so supportive to his music since day one and this is the only way he can say thank you to them.
"I like to play good music to the people and this time again all the performances will be live band performances featuring lot of other surprising Gambian artists", He said.
Gambia's surprising young artist said he would also like to thank a brother who has been so supportive to his music. "Thank you Mr. Nfamara Darboe of Child Fund The Gambia."
Mighty Joe said he is young and would need the support of everybody in his career in whatever form is highly appreciated. "I'm slowly getting there and I know one day I will be there. Every citizen has to contribute a quota to the development of the country and I want to contribute my own quota through music, positive music for the people for that matter".
On a final note Mighty Joe said he is calling on all his fans once again to his 'Thank You' to the fans' show and promised his fans that every year he would release an album and many other surprises with the support of the general public.
