Zimbabwe: Fifteen Models Vie for Miss Valentine Shamva

Some 15 models are expected to take part at the Miss Valentine's Day scheduled for Shamva Country Club on Saturday. The young women, who are already in camp, will also go through rehearsals sponsored by Savanna Tobbaco.

One of the highlights will be a performance by dancehall chanter Freeman as well as upcoming urban grooves artistes in the form of Don Gaga, Man Gunz, Agwabada and Almaxton among others all from Bindura and Shamva.

Whoever wins the title will walk away with US$500 prize money and a food hamper. The first and second princesses will get US$300 and US$200 respectively while the losing finalists will walk away with US$50 each.

Emily Kakweza from Chitungwiza was crowned Miss Valentine Shamva last year.

Show organiser Joseph Kufandiko said the beauty contest attracted contestants from different parts of Zimbabwe.

"I would like to thank Savanna Tobacco for sponsoring the show. We urge fans to come in their numbers.

"The first 100 people to come early will receive T-shirts while the following batch will get caps courtesy of Pacific Storm," said Kufandiko.
