Barely a month after an early morning fire gutted part of the palace of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi 111, an unidentified young man has been arrested with charms by the security outfit attached to the palace.

Residents of the palace were in rude shock over what could be the intention of the young man who was armed with charms of various kinds and sneaked into the palace early Tuesday morning.

LEADERSHIP learnt yesterday that the residents were confused over the incident, occurring barely a month after an early morning fire gutted part of the palace.

The unidentified young man with tribal marks who was arrested before whatever might have been his intention could be carried out, was according to palace source, looking stern and aggressive.

The young man was said to have secretly gained entrance into the palace on Tuesday by jumping over the fence without the knowledge of the security men.

The suspect was said to have confessed to jumping through the fence into the palace.
