Nigeria: Farmer Stabbed, Loses Motorcycle to Bandits At Bwari

Four bandits on Monday stabbed a 40-year-old farmer along Kabua-Tupe road in Bwari Area Council and made away with his motorcycle.

The victim, Bala Bawa, who spoke with our reporter on his sick bed at the Kubwa General Hospital, said he was coming back from the farm on his motorcycle when the incident happened.

He said the motorcycle developed fault inside the bush along the deserted road and in the process of fixing it, the bandits, numbering four, pounced on him with knives.

Bawa, a father of five, puts the incident time at 6pm, adding that he was stabbed seven times on different parts of his body.

He said they left him unconscious and stole his motorcycle.

According to the victim, his relations came to his rescue after placing a call on them as soon as he regained consciousness.

He added that they rushed him to the hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.

The Head of the Accident and Emergency Unit of Kubwa General hospital, Paul Oliseh, said the victim sustained serious injuries and would have to undergo surgery.
