Nigeria: Armed Robbers Attack Bank in Osun

Osogbo — A gang of armed robbers on Tuesday attacked a bank and police post in Ode-Omu, Osun State, killing one person and injuring several others.

According to sources, the armed robbers, numbering about nine came in three separate vehicles, and on arrival, attacked the police post located on the outskirt of the community before proceeding to the bank.

It was further gathered that the robbers on arrival at the bank ordered two of their members to go inside the banking hall while the rest strategically positioned themselves outside.

Daily Trust gathered that about N10 million was carted away.

The state's Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Folasade Odoro said the Divisional Police Officer of the area, has mobilised to the area, and that the police are on the trail of the robbers.
