Peace Corps of Nigeria, (PCN), yesterday inaugurated a 17- man advisory committee to assist the corps to effectively discharge its developmental programmmes for the youths in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony held at corps' headquarters in Abuja, PCN FCT Commandant, Patriot Edet Ekpenyong, said the committee is made up of men of integrity drawn from various communities in the territory, adding that the organization will constantly deliberate with them on youths' developmental programmes.
Also speaking, Etsu of Kwali, Alhaji Shaban Audu Nizazo, identified youth unemployment as a major problem facing the youths in both rural and urban areas, which government must find urgent solution to.
He said community leaders have been creating enabling environment for youth empowerment and called on both government and the private sector to support in this regard.
