Angola: Espírito Santo Carnival Group Wins in Namibe Province

Namibe — The group of Espirito Santo ward won, for the first time, the adult class of the 2013 edition of the carnival in southern Namibe province, with 451 points, according to the jury.

União Saidy Mingas with 388 points stood second, followed by Welwitchia (352), união Mar Azul (290), União agro-pecuária (280), União Terra do Carneiro (258), União Kianda (233), Estrela do mar Facada (202) and União dos Pescadores.

The group was created in 2008 and gather 400 members.

Meanwhile, the group of Pioneiro Zeca school won the edition for the second consecutive time, with 390 points, followed by Cussy-II (349) and the Maria de Lourdes Van-Dúnem group(272 points).
