Ondjiva — The health professionals from the six districts of the southern Cunene province concluded on Wednesday a course on diagnosis and management of malaria cases.

The three-day course was promoted by the sanitary consulting company "Consaúde", in cooperation with the local authorities of the sector.

The event served to endow the technicians with knowledge related to the differential diagnosis of diseases, preventive treatment, use of quick testing, diagnosis of malaria in pregnant women and the importance of using mosquito net.

On the occasion, the provincial supervisor of malaria combating programme of Cunene, Zeferino Meya, appealed to the technicians for the need of applying the acquired knowledge so as to improve the assistance provided to the communities.
