Angola: Culture Minister Hails Angolan Presence in Cuban Book Fair

Luanda — The presence of a big delegation of Angola in the 2013 International Book Fair of Cuba shows that both countries work on the reinforcement of the cultural cooperation.

This was said on Wednesday in Luanda by the Culture Minister, Rosa Cruz e Silva.

The official, who was quoted by Prensa Latina at Luanda's International "4 de Fevereiro" Airport, highlighted the existing historic relations of friendship and solidarity between the two nations they are strengthened more and more.

She recalled that the ties between the two countries are dated from the slavery time, when many Africans were taken to Caribbean and other regions.

The 22nd edition of the International Book Fair, set for 14-24 February, is dedicated to the Cuban historian, Pedro Pablo Rodríguez and Uruguayan-Cuban writer, Daniel Chavarría.
