Menongue — The Secretary of State for Forest Resources, André de Jesus, is paying since last Wednesday a three-day working visit to the south-eastern Kuando Kubango province, aimed to check the current situation of the flora exploration in the region.
Speaking to the press, the official said that he will learn about the prevailing situation in the region, concerning the uncontrolled exploration of the existing forest resources with implication of some citizens that practice these acts.
The Secretary of State said that there are some coalmen that practice this activity illegally and this why he is visiting the affected areas for the awareness meetings with the involved citizens, as well as warn the municipal administrations for greater control of these resources.
The official visited Kuchi district, where he met with the local administrator, Verónica Mutango Adolfo and he checked the local seedling -nursery.
The secretary is expected to visit Dirico district, a bordering region with Namibia.
