The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) says its attention has been drawn to allegation of corruption at the Liberia Airport Authority (LAA). In a press release, the Commission assured the public that it has commenced deliberations in the matter with the view of citing those involved for investigation.
Meanwhile, the Commission has disclosed that it will begin February 20, 2013, embark upon a random verification exercise of assets declared by public officials. The exercise is aimed at ascertaining the veracity of the declared assets of these public officials.
The LACC is therefore urging all public officials concerned to cooperate with the Commission in the verification exercise in the interest of transparency and accountability.
