Gambia/Senegal: Gamtel to Face HLM in CAF Confederation Cup On Sunday

Gamtel will on Sunday 17 February 2013 take on their Senegalese counterparts HLM in the first-leg tie of the preliminaries of the CAF Confederation Cup at the Brikama Mini Stadium.

Club officials and technicians and a representative from the GFA Normalisation Committee on 13 February 2013 held a media conference at the hall of the Independence Stadium Friendship Hostel.

The briefing focused on the club's preparations ahead of their first-leg tie against their Senegalese counterparts HLM in the preliminaries of the CAF Confederations Cup scheduled for Sunday 17 February at the Brikama Mini Stadium.

The telecommunications giants last year got eliminated in the second stage of the competition by Malian side Real De Bamako.

They progressed to the second round of the preliminaries last year after edging passed their Senegalese opponents Casa Sport in the preliminaries.

Tapha Manneh and his side will be hoping for a home win to stand a better chance of going into the return leg to be held in a fortnight's time in Senegal.
