Gambia: 10-Year-Old Girl Needs Urgent Overseas Treatment

Fatou Faal, a 10-year-old girl and resident of Serrekunda, is in urgent need of assistance to undergo overseas treatment.

According to a medical report issued from the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH), the patient was seen and treated at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH) in November 2011 and diagnosed for Mitro Aortic Valves disease two years ago.

The report indicated that she has been on diuretic penicillin but has not been improving; thus needing surgical treatment, which cannot be done here.

Speaking to the Daily Observer on Tuesday afternoon, Fatou Ndure, a neighbour to the patient, appealed to the government, private sectors, NGOs, philanthropists and individuals to come to the aid of this child.

Anyone willing to help Fatou Faal can contact on these numbers: 3658204/3658205.
