Ghana: KNUST Student Wins Jaguar in MTN Promo

Elvis Baidoo, a PhD Student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology could not hide his joy when the key to one of the three brand new Jaguar XF.30 up for grabs in the 'MTN Dream Big Xtreme' promotion, was handed to him over the weekend.

Speaking to the media at the presentation ceremony held at the TV3 studios in Accra, Elvis expressed his profound gratitude to MTN for coming up with a promotion that helps people like him live their dreams.

He said, "I never had doubts, as soon as I saw the Jaguar I knew it was mine, so I began texting right from the beginning of the promotion till I was called by officials of MTN that I had won the jaguar. I was confused but not surprised at the news."

As previous winner of the daily GH¢5,000 cash prize, his excitement was palpable as he added, "I don't know how to thank MTN, I am very very excited and can't believe I will be driving this car all the way to Obuasi!"

At another presentation ceremony held at the Ridge Towers office of MTN, Hussein Abdul Ganiyu from Tamale received a cash prize of GH¢10,000 after being selected as the customer with the highest number of points and the winner of the random selection during the daily draw. He could not hide his joy when MTN broke the news to him.

After 45 days of the 100 day promotion, a total of 90 (ninety) subscribers have had their lives enriched after winning the daily cash prize of GH¢5000 each. Amongst the recipients is popular veteran radio presenter, Tommy Annan Forson who also took home GH¢5,000 cash prize. 180 android phones have been won and 90,000 (Ninety Thousand) MTN subscribers have also received free airtime from MTN.

The General Manager of Marketing Services at MTN, Mr. Richard Acheampong who presented the prizes to the winners said: "MTN is in business to deliver bold and innovative experiences to our subscribers through the Dream Big Xtreme promotion and other life enriching projects being undertaken in our communities".

He urged all subscribers to look out for scammers who take advantage of promotions to dupe people. He stated "MTN calls winners of its promotion with its official line 0244300000". "Under no circumstance will winners be asked to pay any amount to redeem their prizes" He urged subscribers to continue texting and aim at winning the ultimate jackpot of GH¢150,000.00

The Dream Big Xtreme promotion was launched last December and is expected to end on the 4th of April. There are two more monthly draws to be held before the end of the promotion and the remaining two jaguars will be given out to the highest texters.

Daily prizes include cash prizes of GH¢ 5000, android phones and MTN airtime vouchers. Subscribers will have to text 'Win' to 2020 or call 2020 to participate in the promotion.
