Eritrea: Logo-Anseba Sub-Zone Calls for Marketplace Facilities

Asmara — The inhabitants of Logo-Anseba sub-zone have called for the construction of infrastructural facilities in the marketplace in Mekerka in line with the growing business activities in the locality.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Medhanie Gebremedhin, Zerit Kelit, Ms. Lemlem Teamrat, Ms. Genet Isaac and Ms. Tiqabo Gide explained that they are in a position to improve their livelihood through participating in the local merchandizing activities and selling their agricultural products. They further expressed the community's readiness to back up efforts of constructing the cherished infrastructural facilities there.

Mr. Andemeskel Zeratsion, tax collector in the marketplace, pointed out that there exists significant supply of livestock in the market from various corners of Gash-Barka region, and said that consumer goods should have a separate spot.

Mr. Kidane Woldesilasie, Administrator of Logo-Anseba sub-zone, told Erina that it is already heading towards implementing a program to this end.
