Rwandans Second-Most Romantic People in the World, Poll Shows

A global love survey conducted by the Gallup Polling Organisation has ranked Rwanda second among the countries where you can get most love.

The report released ahead of the Valentines Day celebrated yesterday placed the country top on the African continent.

According to the survey, Rwandans experience love at 92 per cent, only behind Filipinos, at 93 per cent, with the former topping Africa, followed by Nigeria (84 per cent), which ranks 11th globally.

The poll cast aside claims that Paris and Rome have the most romantic people in the world. The survey, conducted in 136 countries, posed the question, "Did you experience love for a lot of the day yesterday?"

In Rwanda, there were 1,495 respondents.

The release of the findings coincided with St. Valentine's Day,yesterday. Though some look at love as a tool to strengthen relationship, others said it has lost meaning as cheating is rampant.
