Rwanda: Mico Prosper Launches Debut Album

Afro Beat singer, Mico Prosper is launching his debut album, 'Umutaka' at the Expo Grounds in Gikondo. Tanzanian musician, Diamond, will grace the concert, which will start at 6:oo pm.

The Tanzanian is the man behind songs like Mbagala, Kamwambiye. Mico and Diamond have a duet called "Sinakwibagiwe".

Mico who is famous for tracks such as Akanote ka Magana atanu, Akabizu, Amapingu, Sarafina, Nakwimariyemo, High Class, Nyiraminani and many others will be joined on the stage by a host of local artistes like, King James, Jay Polly, Knowless, Kamichi, Uncle Austin, Jay Polly and Ama G The Black.

Though most musicians have recently resorted to just live performances, Mico has decided to have both live and play back performances. "I attend most of the concerts by musicians here and I can tell you that not all music fans enjoy live performances.

Some of them enjoy listening to our songs just like they hear them on radio. For this matter, I am going to have both live and play back performances'

Entrance to the concert is Rwf 2,000 and Rfw 5,000 for ordinary and VIP seats respectively.
