San Marino — The Angolan diplomat Florêncio de Almeida was accredited on Wednesday in the city of San Marino as the first Angolan extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to San Marino, with non-resident status.
Florêncio de Almeida presented his credentials to the Captains Regent, Teodoro Lonfernini and Denise Bronzeti.
Angola and San Marino set up diplomatic relations in March in 209.
After presenting the credentials, the Angolan diplomat met with the Foreign Affairs Minister of San Marino Pasuale Valentini, aimed to identify subsequent steps to make viable the cooperation in different domains of common interest, with emphasis on tourism, services and new technologies.
