Nigeria: NPA Commits to Safety in the Ports

The Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Alhaji Habib Abdullahi, has said the authority remains committed to safety of life and property within the nation's seaports and will continue to give maximum attention to the provision of fire equipment, sensitisation of Port community on safety and fire prevention, training and retraining of its fire service personnel in accordance with national legislation, international standard and best practices.

Abdullahi stated this while speaking at the passing-out parade for Squad 48 recruit firemen and women of the Authority who recently undertook a six-month training at the Fire Service Central Training School in Tin-Can Island Port.
