Nigeria: Yaro Warns Against Diversion of Drugs, Hospital Equipment

Kaduna State governor, Alhaji Mukhtar Yero Thursday warned against diversion of drugs and hospital equipment meant for primary health centres in the state, saying that anyone caught indulging in such corrupt and retrogressive acts will be dealt with.

Speaking at the commissioning of drugs, consumables and hospital equipment worth over N600 million donated by the Partnership for Transforming of Health Systems, otherwise known as PATHS 2, Yero also said he will hold officials of the state ministry of health responsible for any foul play in the distribution of the items to the various health centres.

The items include 32 sets of 20KVA generators, drugs, hospital equipment and hospital consumables meant for distribution to the various hospitals and primary health centres across the state for efficient health care delivery.
