Kenya: Unep Conference to Discuss Whether Unep Will Move From Nairobi
By Diana Madegwa, 15 February 2013
A one week conference to determine whether or not UNEP headquarters will be moved from Nairobi to another country will be held next week.
Environment PS Ali Mohammed says the conference further aims at seeking new ways of improving the country's environment.
UNEP has been in Kenya since 1970, but there have been talks of it being moved with claims that Nairobi was too insecure to host an U.N. agency.
