Nigeria: Jonathan Appoints Three New Perm Secretaries

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointments of three new permanent secretaries in the Federal Civil Service.

They are Dr (Mrs) Habiba Muda Lawal, Mr John Obinna Chukwu, an engineer, and Mrs. Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita.

In a statement, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Alhaji Isa Sali, said that the new appointees would replace the retiring permanent secretaries representing the North-East and South-East geo-political zones and that of Cross River respectively.

Sali said that the appointments would take effect from the dates when the incumbent permanent secretaries retired from the service as follows: Mudal Lawal, Feb. 18, 2013; Chukwu, March 6, 2013 and Oyo-Ita, March 16, 2013.

The statement was signed by Mr Tope Ajakaiye, Director (Press & Public Relations) in the Office of theHead of the Civil Service of the Federation.
