Nigeria: Fashola Inaugurates Youth, Adolescent Clinic to Mark Valentine's Day

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babatunde Fashola, on Thursday inaugurated a Youth and Adolescent Friendly Clinic at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja to mark Valentine's Day.

Fashola, represented by his Special Adviser on Public Health, Dr Yewande Adeshina, said that the clinic would enable youths and adolescents to get counselling on how to achieve their dreams.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that no fewer than 250 secondary school students participated in the ceremony.

Fashola advised the students to face their education and shun sexual pressure from the opposite sex.

The governor also advised them to show love to each other, adding that true love was not synonymous with sexual relationship.

He urged them to keep their virginity until they married.

Fashola said that the clinics were located in six other areas, including Akerele, Alimosho, Akoka, Oshodi and Lagos Island with LASUTH as the headquarters.
