Angola: Urbanisation Pledges Commitment to Continued Housing Programmes

Luanda — The Ministry of Urbanisation and Housing will focus on continuity of housing programmes underway in the country and the creation of new ones.

This was said Thursday in Luanda by the incumbent minister José António da Conceição e Silva when speaking to the press at the end of the Parliamentary session that approved the 2013 State Budget.

The official said the ministry's attentions are centred, among other things, on the implementation of the programme of construction of 200 social houses in each municipality and creation of land reserves.

He noted that in addition to the referred programmes, the Ministry of Urbanisation and Housing will also invest in monitoring the implementation of the new towns, some already built and others to emerge.

The general budget for 2013 foresees revenues and expenditure estimated at 6.635 trillion kwanzas.
