Malanje — The carnival group "União Jovem" of Vila Matilde ward, northern Malanje province, Tuesday won the 2013 edition of adult category, with 594 points.

While "União filhos de Angola", from urban centre, and "11 de Novembro from Maxinde ward, were placed second and third, with 560 and 496 points, respectively.

In their turn, the União Mundo da Katepa and Bons de Bondade with 491 and 482 points, ranked fourth and fifth, respectively.

The event gathered nine groups.

The award of the best cutting style, queen and king went to the carnival group "União filhos de Angola", with 37 and 40 points, respectively.

Meanwhile, the first and second placed groups received 590,000 Kwanzas and Akz 390,000, respectively.

Whereas, the third, fourth and fifth ranked groups got AKz 310,000, 240,000 and 200,000, respectively.

The remaining received AKz 20,000 by participating in the event.
