Gambia: Manslaughter Case Fails to Proceed

The manslaughter case involving Alhagie Lamin Bawo and Amie Saye was yesterday adjourned at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul before Justice Emmanuel Nkea.

The case was supposed to receive the addresses of both the prosecution and the defence counsel.

Hearing resumes on 25 February 2013.

It could be recalled that the accused persons were alleged to have caused the death of one Ebrima Jobe, a charge the accused persons had denied, which prompted the prosecution to call their witnesses and tender some exhibits in support of their case.

The accused persons had also given their defence testimony.
