Gambia: KGI FC Defeat Bombada in Triangular Qualifiers

KGI FC of Bakau came from one nil down to beat Bombada of Brikama 2-1 in the Gambia Football Association third division qualifiers game played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Wednesday.

Bombada came into the game with 3 points following their slender 1-0 win over Gunjur United in the opening game of the qualifiers whilst KGI FC did not have a point to show.

Bombada opened the score through striker Yankuba Jallow in the 24th minute of the game to give his side the lead, before Sunkung Nyang levelled the score for KGI in the 44th minute to cancel out Yankuba Jallow's opener.

Substitute Almamo Darboe grabbed the winner in the 88th minute of the game to earn KGI their first victory in the qualifiers as well as bagging the maximum points at the expense of their opponents Bombada.

KGI, Bombada and Roots are all with 3 points each but Bombada have played more games than KGI FC and Roots, while Gunjur United and Starlight are with zero point each in single games.
