Uganda: FDC Tribunal Hears Mafabi Petition

The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party reconciliation committee kicked off its inquiry with the hearing of the leader of opposition, Nandala Mafabi's petition.

The committee is investigating complaints related to last year's party presidential elections, where Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu emerged the winner against Mafabi and Tororo County MP Geoffrey Ekanya.

Mafabi and Ekanya filed petitions with the party national chairman over the conduct of the elections held on November 22, last year.

The hearing, which kicked off at the party headquarters in Najjanankumbi Thursday, was attended by both Mafabi and party president Muntu and their supporters.
