President Mwai Kibaki will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the Kenya Open.
Kenya Open Golf Limited (KOGL) chairman Peter Kanyago confirmed that the Head of State will preside over the award ceremony on the final day.
Kanyago said the President as the Patron of KOGL has been supportive to their endeavours. "This will be the last time the President will preside over this event as a sitting President but we hope he will still continue to be with us in the future," he said.
He said they will also address the issue of traffic jam around Karen and Langata Road, which is proving quite a challenge to the event. "We want to make Langata Road open as the event continues," said Kanyago.
