Kenya: Bacher Takes Day 1 Open Overall Lead

HP Bacher came out with all guns blazing at the Barclays Kenya Open with a five under par 66 for the overnight lead at the par 71 Karen Country Club.

The Austrian almost negotiated the opening three holes in four under par as a birdie putt at the first hole just slid past the cup before he chipped in from 35 feet for an eagle at the second and carded a birdie at the third.

Ugandans literally saw dust with their top pro Deo Akope hitting 3 over and Herman Mutwa settling his day witht 7 over par 78.
