Angola: Sports Delegation Gains Experience At NBA

Luanda — An Angolan sports delegation this weekend will visit the United Sates of America with a view to collecting experiences from that country's basketball authorities.

The information was given to the press last Thursday, in Luanda, by a member of the delegation and consultant of the minister of Youth and Sports, Miguel Xisto, who also explained that this happens in response to an invitation made by the NBA All-Star Games.

He informed that the delegation will stay in the United States for at least eight days.

"I think it will be an interesting and profitable trip for the country, having into account the potential of the North-Americans in this discipline and sports in general", he stressed.

The delegation also includes the chairman of the Angolan Football Federation (FAB), Paulo Madeira, and the technician of the Youth and Sports Ministry, Matuzolele Ernesto Mulato.

Every year the United States organizes a basketball festival dubbed NBA All-Star Game, and this year the event is scheduled for Sunday (February 17) in Toyota Center venue, in Houston.

Angola is the greatest basketball power in Africa with ten continental titles in senior males category, currently also holding the African title.
