Ghana: 2013 Afcon Golden Boot Awarded to Mubarak Wakaso

Mubarak Wakaso has joined the Ghanaian history makers by becoming the fifth Ghanaian to end up as the top scorer of an Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

The Ghanaian midfielder got the Golden Boot award making his maiden appearance in the 2013 AFCON in South Africa and with four goals and joint-top with Emmanuel Emmenike of Nigeria.

The four Ghanaians to make such an attempt are as follows;

Ben Acheampong, Osei Kofi, Opoku Afriyie and George Alhassan who also finished the Africa Cup of Nations as top goal scorers.
