Nigeria: PDP Crisis Latest - National Auditor Sacked, Caretaker Committee Appointed for South West

The crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party took a new dimension on Friday as the National Working Committee announced the sack of Bode Mustapha as the National Auditor of the Party.

Mr. Mustapha is from the South West Zone of the party, same as Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the National Secretary of the PDP who was removed in similar circumstances.

The PDP, in a statement by its spokesperson, Olisa Metuh, said it was obeying a court decision in removing Mr. Mustapha. The party also announced the formation of a caretaker committee to run the affairs of the South West Zone of the party.

Ogun PDP has been in crisis with two factions claiming control of the party.
