A Peoples Democratic Party chapter in London, U.K. has appointed Kenny Aluko as its chairman.

Mr. Aluko's appointment, at a meeting on January 19, was supported by the founding members of the chapter at a meeting held at PSV Lounge, 72 Stoke Newington Road, London N16 7XB.

Speaking to PREMIUM TIMES on phone on his new position, the chairman expressed appreciation to the leaders of the party for considering him competent for the new role.

Mr. Aluko, who once sought the ticket of the party for a House of Representatives seat in Ilesa, Osun State, pledged not to disappoint the party and it members.

He called on all party members to see themselves as one family, adding that the success of the party should be paramount to everyone.

Mr. Aluko specifically thanked Otunba Olatubosun, the sole financier of the U.K. chapter of the party for three years; and other founding members.
