Somalia: Car Bomb Explosion At Mogadishu Beachfront Resturant

Mogadishu, Somalia — A car packed full explosives exploded Saturday afternoon, at a restaurant near Mogadishu's Liido beach and resulted in unknown casualties, Garowe Online reports.

A car packed full of explosives was parked in a restaurant parking near the beach. The beachfront restaurant was well frequented by members of parliament and government officials. The area is also a tourist attraction.

According to witnesses, there was a huge explosion and heavy smoke seen from a far distance.

Casualties in the blast are still unknown, but unconfirmed reports say that at least 1 person was killed and 4 others injured.
