Egypt: Hundreds Participate in Symbolic Funeral for Boy Potato Seller

Hundreds on Friday took part in a symbolic funeral for thirteen-year old Omar Salah who was killed last week near the U.S. embassy by accident.

Participants in the funeral gathered at Tahrir Square and marched through several streets downtown.

A member the security force in charge of manning a security checkpoint during a change of shifts accidentally shot the boy, official spokesman of the armed forces said on Thursday.

ON TV channel broadcast live footage of the march as the protesters chanted "Omar ... Omar", "People demand the downfall of the regime", and "Down with the Brotherhood".
