Egypt-Nile Basin Investments Hit 57 Million Dollars - Minister

The joint projects between Egypt and Nile Basin countries are estimated at 57 million dollars till January 2013, said Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Bahaeddin.

The projects come within the framework of ongoing cooperation between Egypt and the Nile Basin countries, added the minister in statements on Thursday 14/02/2013.

A cooperation agreement was signed with the Democratic Republic of Congo on a project for integrated management of water resources with total investments of 10.5 million dollars, he said.

Other deals also have been finalized with Tanzania, Uganda, South Sudan and Ethiopia on projects in the fields of electricity, agriculture and irrigation, he added.
