The government will investigate Monday's clashes between a group of Muslims and Christians in Buseresere that led to the beheading of a pastor and the injury of several others, Tanzania's Daily News reported Friday (February 15th).
Speaking during a visit to Geita, where he was hosted by Regional Commissioner Said Magalula, Tanzanian Minister for Home Affairs Emmanuel Nchimbi vowed that those responsible for inciting inter-religious hatred will be brought to justice.
Police have since arrested two suspects tied to Monday's violence, said Denis Stephano, spokesman for the Geita regional commander's office.
