Tanzania: Zanzibar to Stage Judo Cup On Saturday

ALL is set for Zanzibar Youngstars Judo Cup set to start on Saturday at the Isles Budokan. President of the Zanzibar Judo Association, Tsuyoshi Shimaoka said the event will compete more than 50 youth of Under-15 years.

He said at least four clubs have confirmed to field athletes in judokas in the one-day event. Shimaoka named the clubs as Budokan Judo Club, Gulion Judo Club, Dole Judo Club and Zanzibar International School Judo Club.

Medals, certificates and stationeries await the winners of the one-day event whose entrance is free. "People must come in big numbers to wetness the event and we are pleased that fans have been increasing as the days goes by," he said. Executive Secretary of the Zanzibar Sports Council (ZSC) is expected to officiate the event organized by the Zanzibar Judo Association.
