Eritrea: Sabur Printing Services Organizes Training for New Staff Members

Asmara — A total of 32 new staff members of Sabur Printing Services who have been attending a one-year certificate course regarding general printing graduated today.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Mr. Musie Tesfamariam, manager of Sabur Printing Services, indicated that the history of printing in Eritrea extends back to more than 150 years, thus constituting the first phenomenon in the Horn region. Accordingly, the training which involved theoretical and practical aspects was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Education with a view to filling the gap of expertise to this end, and the institution would step up efforts as regards human resource development.

Mr. Mussie called on the beneficiaries of the training to translate into deeds the knowledge they have acquired. Moreover, Mr. Kahsai Rusom, Administrator of the Printing Press, pointed out that it has been sending its staff overseas for training, and that a total of 24 youths had received a six-month training earlier.

A representative of the graduates expressed satisfaction with the training, and said that they would demonstrate commitment in their career.
